Online registration is now closed. The entry form guidelines contains all of the details to deliver and pick up your quilts for the show. Entry forms will be available and accepted between January 1, 2013 and April 1, 2013. Again, our entry period has ended.
Members of the GVQC can enter up to five quilts at no charge; non-members are welcome to enter up to five quilts for an entry fee of $10 for each work. Please note, there is a fee for having your quilt judged. See the Entry Guidelines for details.
If you would like to enter your quilt at the January, February and March meetings of the GVQC in Rochester, New York, there will be GVQC members with computers available to assist with online entry using your completed paper forms. Paper entry forms will be available at the meeting.
Fees for entry (for non-members) and for judged categories (members and non-members) need to be paid by check, payable to GVQC Quilt Show. Please print the Remittance Form, calculate your fees, and mail your check to the address on the form. Your entry will not be complete until the fees are paid.
We encourage you to enter online, but should that not be possible, and you are not able to enter at our quilt club meeting, you may mail completed entry forms, along with your fees, if applicable, to the address on the Remittance Form.

Quilt Judging
Have
your entry judged and receive a written critique, and be eligible for
cash awards
We are very pleased to have National Quilting Association certified judge Holice Turnbow, and Cynthia England as our judges for the GVQC 2013 Magical Thread Quilt Show. You can choose to have your entry judged. Quilt Entry to the show is free to GVQC members ($10 for non members) but the judging, if you choose, will be $5 in addition per entry. A maximum of 400 quilts will be judged on a first come, first served basis. So, choose on the registration form, “to be judged”. A written critique from the judge will be included and returned with your entry quilt.
Our professional judges
will award cash prizes to those quilts which have been entered for
judging with an additional $5 entry fee. Awards are $250 Best of Show,
and $100 First prize, $50 Second prize, $25
Third prize, and an Honorable mention with a ribbon, in the five
categories of applique, pieced, mixed, art, and wearables. Our Judges
will also award a judges’ choice. There will also be a Viewer's Choice
ribbon, as well as special recognition ribbons.

Quilt Raffle
Our 2013 Raffle Quilt "Blue Moon Magic" will be featured at the Magical Threads – Inspired Stitches Quilt Show. Made by the Genesee Valley Quilt Club, this pieced and quilted work is 90" x 90" and will be raffled off to benefit the club. Tickets for the raffle quilt will be available at the show, so look for this quilt and your chance to win!
